Sales and Marketing Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of an established and highly regarded 4-star hotel in West Cork for an experienced Sales & Events Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, energetic and proactive sales professional to join a well-established hospitality business and play a key role in growing its corporate, accommodation and events business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing client relationships and delivering the hotel’s sales strategy across accommodation, meetings and events, leisure and food & beverage.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Identifying and developing new corporate and local business opportunities.
Growing accommodation revenue by winning new clients and developing existing accounts.
Developing new accounts across accommodation, events and food & beverage.
Building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Managing sales enquiries and converting leads into confirmed business.
Conducting client meetings and hotel/site inspections.
Carrying out proactive sales activity, including sales calls, telesales and local business development.
Representing the hotel at networking events, trade fairs, tourism events and industry functions.
Developing relationships with corporate clients and local businesses.
Monitoring competitor activity, rates and market trends.
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date client database.
Supporting the development and delivery of sales and marketing campaigns.
Working closely with the hotel’s Front Office, Food & Beverage and senior management teams.
Producing regular sales reports and monitoring performance against targets.
Identifying opportunities to maximise revenue across all areas of the hotel.
Supporting digital marketing, social media and content activity.
Attending relevant industry and networking events, including occasional travel.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
An experienced sales or business development professional, ideally with 3+ years’ experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism or a related sector.
Commercially focused with a proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
Confident, personable and comfortable building relationships at all levels.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal English.
Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Knowledgeable about digital marketing, social media and content marketing.
Creative in their approach to generating new business and identifying opportunities.

This is a full-time, onsite role. Flexibility is required as the role will involve occasional evenings, weekends, client entertaining and attendance at events.
The position will also involve travel to meet clients and attend events, including occasional overseas travel. A full clean driving licence and access to a car are therefore essential.
