About the Company
Our client is a small but ambitious engineering consultancy specialising in renewable energy infrastructure projects across Ireland. With a growing portfolio of wind farm and solar farm developments, they are entering an exciting expansion phase and are looking to strengthen their civil design capability.
This is an opportunity to join a close-knit technical team where your input genuinely shapes projects and where you will have real visibility, responsibility and impact.
The Opportunity
This is a technically focused, design-orientated role with responsibility for delivering the civil infrastructure elements of renewable energy projects from concept through to detailed design.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working from first principles, carrying out detailed design calculations and solving complex technical challenges.
You will play a key role in the design and delivery of:
Access roads and internal road networks
Horizontal and vertical geometric road design
Drainage and hydraulic infrastructure
Site development and earthworks
Civil elements of wind and solar farm projects
You will work closely with senior engineers and project stakeholders, with scope to take increasing ownership as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
Experience in road design practices
Proficiency in Civil 3D (or similar software) for horizontal and vertical alignment design
Strong grounding in first principle design calculations
Experience in hydraulic structure design and flood modelling software (advantageous)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
Authorised to work in Ireland
Fluent in English
Level: This role would suit a Design Engineer or early Senior Engineer looking to take the next step within a growing renewables-focused consultancy.
