Pay: €22.00-€27.00 per hour
Job Description:
Our Cork city based client (a digital agency) is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Representative (for 15-20 hours per week) to nurture and grow an existing pipeline while also introducing new qualified opportunities.
This role is very flexible, mostly work from home, as long as you can attend the Cork city office approx once per fortnight. The days you do the work are very flexible also, could suit someone who has a few hours every morning to make some calls.
There is also a great commission structure on top of the hourly rate.
This is a relationship-led, long-game sales role rather than a high-volume, transactional position.
You will work from structured prospect lists, re-engaging leads who have already received
email touchpoints over the past 12+ months, maintaining momentum, and progressing
conversations toward retained client relationships. You will also support the creation of an in-house, scalable business development process alongside leadership.
A key focus for 2026 will be UK market development, requiring confidence in engaging
decision-makers and running thoughtful, value-driven outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Management & Nurture:
Manage and grow the existing pipeline from a variety of sources both inbound and
outbound.
Re-engage leads with previous touchpoints and maintain consistent, professional
follow-up.
Progress opportunities through qualification toward retained client engagements.
New Business Development:
Identify and introduce new qualified leads aligned with the clients service offering.
Execute structured outbound activity via email, phone, LinkedIn and targeted
campaigns.
Book high-quality discovery conversations and support deal progression.
Process & Strategy Contribution
Collaborate with leadership to help design and refine an internal business
development process.
Provide insight into messaging and buyer pain points.
Support CRM usage, reporting and pipeline visibility.
UK Market Focus
Lead and support outbound efforts targeting UK-based businesses.
Adapt messaging and engagement style to suit UK buyer expectations.
Coordinate closely with internal delivery and leadership teams.
Collaboration & Reporting
Attend the Cork office once every fortnight for alignment, planning and
collaboration.
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline updates.
Share learnings and insights to improve conversion and retention rates.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
Ireland-based, with the ability to attend the Cork office every two weeks.
Proven B2B business development or sales experience, ideally within digital,
technology, software or agency environments.
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
Comfortable working autonomously in a fractional, flexible role.
Experience selling into the UK market is a strong advantage.
