Our client is a well-established SME in Limerick with approximately 80 employees. They are passionate about delivering exceptional service to their customers while maintaining a supportive and inclusive workplace. This is a newly created role offering an experienced HR professional the opportunity to shape and develop the HR function.
The Role:
This part-time HR position (18 hours per week) is ideal for an experienced HR professional looking to work in a dynamic SME environment. You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, policy implementation, and HR compliance. The company has a union, so experience liaising with union representatives will be highly valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as HR point of contact for employees and management.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
Support payroll administration and HR reporting as required.
Work closely with management and union representatives on employee relations matters.
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best HR practices.
Requirements:
Previous HR experience in an SME or retail/motor industry.
Experience working with unions highly desirable.
Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Familiarity with HR systems and payroll administration advantageous.
